CI 5472: VoiceThread---Native American Media Images
Very thorough! I was a little schocked by the number and quality (as in, I can't believe that!) of the images you found. From the beginning I was just waiting for the "Crying Indian" commercial and the mascots. But I never knew there was a Native American smurf. And although it's not a total surprise coming from Disney, the image from the 1971 book about world cultures was pretty horrifying in it's depiction of the Native American "culture."
Nice pick-up on the color "Indian Red" too - it's hard to believe that it took until 1999 for them to change that one!
